More and more, young adults are leaving the smaller towns they grew up in and are heading for the cities to start their new lives. This threatens the livelihood of small towns across the United States. In order to retain their population, small town leaders are attempting to attract young people through grassroots organizations, environmental movements, and the promise of a loving community.
The Elkhart River Restoration Association knows that no one wants to live in a place where natural ecosystems are falling apart. They are working to perserve the natural state of the environment in the surrounding areas to hopefully make Elkhart county and the surrounding areas more appealing for new families to boost the small town population and economy.
