The Merry Lee Sustainable Farm provides internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students wanting more hands on experiences. This promotes learning for the undergraduates as well as builds relationships and could potentially provide future jobs.
The large range of ecosystem diversity at Merry Lea makes it an excellent location for a wide variety of field studies. There are many opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in field research at Merry Lea. These include participation in theMaple Scholars summer research program, summer field assistants in the MAPS bird banding research project,Environmental Science Junior and Senior projects work,Sustainability Semester in Residence projects, as well as a range of courses that use Merry Lea as a field station for laboratory work.
